UTSNITT requires no account. The app creates the finished Utsnitt on your iPhone, and neither utsnitt.com nor igunther.com has a database of pictures or places.
Camera and pictures
UTSNITT asks for camera access to take the photograph you want to use. The photograph, optional message and finished Utsnitt are processed on the device and are not uploaded to an UTSNITT server.
If you enable automatic saving, the app asks to add the finished image to Photos. When you share, the app or service you choose receives the image under its own privacy terms.
Location and place names
The app asks for your location while in use to connect the photograph to its place. The coordinate is embedded in the QR link. Apple’s system reverse-geocoding service may process the coordinate to find a readable place name; the photograph is not included.
Optional in-app usage analytics
Usage analytics is off by default and is enabled only with consent. If enabled, Google Analytics for Firebase may process a random installation identifier, device and operating-system information, app version, general region from a masked IP address, sessions, feature selections, and purchase or restore status.
Analytics never includes the photograph, message, precise coordinate or QR code. UTSNITT does not set a user ID, use analytics for advertising or track you across other companies’ apps and websites. You can turn analytics off in Settings.
The QR link
The coordinate follows a # in the QR URL, for example utsnitt.com/go#59.431920,10.658210. This fragment is processed locally by the browser and is not normally sent in the hosting request. The page creates Apple Maps and Google Maps links locally. Choosing one sends the coordinate to that service under its terms.
The websites and hosting
utsnitt.com and igunther.com are static websites. utsnitt.com does not use analytics or advertising cookies. igunther.com offers optional analytics that is disabled until a visitor gives consent. The hosting providers may process necessary technical information such as IP address, time, requested page and browser details to deliver and protect the websites.
