These Terms apply when you use the Skiltvis app and skiltvis.com.
1. About Skiltvis
Skiltvis is an independent learning tool made for private learning and practice with Norwegian road signs. It is not a public service, driving school or affiliated with or approved by the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, Lovdata or other public authorities.
2. Sources and content
Content is based on publicly available information about Norwegian road signs, including the current Norwegian Road Sign Regulations and information from the Norwegian Public Roads Administration and Lovdata. Skiltvis’s own educational explanations are kept separate from official text. A reference does not imply endorsement.
3. A learning tool
The app is not a substitute for current laws and regulations, road signs along the road, official information, approved driver training or professional guidance. Skiltvis does not guarantee that using the app is sufficient to pass a theory test, driving test or other programme. Results and mastery levels are not an official certification.
4. Errors and changes
Skiltvis works to keep information correct and current, but the app may contain errors, omissions or information that has not yet been updated. Verify important information against current rules and official sources. Where there is a conflict, the authoritative source applies.
5. Responsibility in traffic
Skiltvis must not be used as the basis for decisions while driving. As a road user, you are responsible for current laws, signs, signals, road markings and local conditions. Do not use the app in a distracting or unsafe way.
6. Limitation of liability
Skiltvis is an aid for private learning and cannot guarantee that all content is complete, error-free or current at all times. Within the limits of Norwegian law, Skiltvis is not liable for loss caused by relying exclusively on the app instead of current rules, official sources or actual traffic conditions. This does not limit rights that cannot be excluded under Norwegian law.
7. Use of Skiltvis
Skiltvis may be used privately and lawfully. You must not bypass purchase controls, disrupt the app or website, distribute malicious code or violate the law or the rights of others.
8. Purchases
Full access is offered as a one-time App Store purchase. The current price is shown before purchase. Apple handles payment, restoration and refunds under its rules and applicable law. Statutory consumer rights are unaffected.
9. Intellectual property
The Skiltvis name, app design, learning experience, software and original editorial content belong to Skiltvis or relevant rights holders. Public signs, official text and source material may have separate rights and licences.
10. Availability and changes
Features and content may be improved, changed or removed. The app and website cannot be guaranteed to be permanently available or error-free. Material changes affecting a paid service will be handled under applicable mandatory law.
11. Norwegian law
These Terms are governed by Norwegian law. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
